    When he was little, he was BFFS with Raiden and they would do everything together like watch animoos and pretend to be power rangers or something like that. Then in the first year of middle school, he had to move away since his Grandma got sick and they couldn't afford to put her in a senior home. He was homesick and missed his best friendo greatly, but during that time. he met new friends and they taught him how to be cool and trendy and get all the ladies. After his Grandma passed away, His parents decided to move back to their home town. Everything LOOKED the same, but everything felt different and he was so "IDK" about everything. TL;DR: He was a loser and had only 1 friend and he moved away and changed his looks and got super popular and he moved back and was"woaa" about how different everything seemed despite it being him who changed.
